Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Aït Benhaddou – Dades Valley

4 days Desert Tour from Marrakech departure: Your journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech, traveling through the High Atlas Mountains along the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m), offering breathtaking views of valleys and Berber villages. Stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Aït Benhaddou, a fortified ksar famous for its traditional architecture and role in many films. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” and then pass through the lush Valley of Roses before arriving in the Dades Valley. Overnight in a guesthouse with dinner included.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi)

After breakfast, explore the impressive Dades Gorges, known for their rugged cliffs and unique rock formations. Continue to the stunning Todra Gorge, where towering limestone walls create one of Morocco’s most dramatic landscapes. After a short walk in the gorge, drive toward Merzouga, passing through palm groves and small Berber villages. In the afternoon, arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes, where you’ll trade your vehicle for a camel trek into the golden desert. Enjoy a magical sunset over the dunes before reaching your desert camp. End the day with a traditional Moroccan dinner, Berber music, and stargazing under the vast desert sky. Overnight in a desert camp (luxury or standard, based on your preference).

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Wake up early to experience a mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast at the camp, ride camels back to Merzouga, where your journey continues. Visit the nearby town of Rissani, a historic trading hub with vibrant souks, and then travel through the scenic Draa Valley, home to one of Morocco’s largest palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Pass through Agdez and continue to Ouarzazate, where you’ll spend the night at a comfortable riad or hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, explore Ouarzazate’s famous Kasbah Taourirt or visit the Atlas Film Studios, the filming location for numerous Hollywood movies. Retrace your route through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and the stunning High Atlas Mountains, with opportunities to stop for photos and admire the landscapes. Arrive back in Marrakech by late afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
