Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Midelt – Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)

3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech departure: We’ll start our journey early, departing Fes and traveling through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” with its alpine-style architecture and cool climate. Next, we’ll visit the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where you’ll see Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. Continuing through Berber villages and scenic landscapes, we’ll arrive in Midelt for lunch.
In the afternoon, we’ll descend through the Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves, before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a sunset camel trek into the Sahara Desert, where we’ll enjoy dinner, Berber music, and stargazing at a traditional desert camp. Overnight in the desert camp (luxury or standard).

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise over the dunes, we’ll return to Merzouga on camels for breakfast. Then, we’ll drive through small villages and rugged landscapes to the spectacular Todra Gorge, where you can walk along its dramatic limestone cliffs. After exploring the gorge, we’ll continue to the picturesque Dades Valley, passing by ancient kasbahs and the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” You’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a guesthouse in the Dades Valley.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Aït Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day, we’ll travel through the beautiful Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses toward Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Here, you’ll have the option to visit the famous Atlas Film Studios or the Kasbah Taourirt.
Next, we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou, a stunning ksar known for its traditional mudbrick architecture. After lunch, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, stopping for photos along the way. We’ll arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, where the tour concludes.
